In this survey, we give an overview over some aspects of the set of tilting objects in an $m-$cluster category, with focus on those properties which are valid for all $m geq 1$. We focus on the following three combinatorial aspects: modeling the set of tilting objects using arcs in certain polygons, the generalized assicahedra of Fomin and Reading, and colored quiver mutation.
The application of Dempster-Shafer theory demonstrated with justification provided by legal evidence
In forecasting and decision making, people can and often do represent a degree of belief in some proposition. At least two separate constructs capture such degrees of belief: likelihoods capturing evidential balance and support capturing evidential weight. This paper explores the weight or justification that evidence affords propositions, with subjects communicating using a belief function in h...
Aiming to solving the problem that the evidence information based on Dezert-Smarandache (DSm) model can not be fused effectively in Conditional Evidential Network based on Smets/DS model (ENC), a reasoning method in Conditional Evidential Network based on DSm model is proposed. First, the conditional reasoning formular in Conditional Evidential Network based on DSm model is proved and the reaso...
OBJECTIVE Leisure-time sedentary behaviors (LTSBs) have been associated adversely with health outcomes. However, limited research has focused on different categories of LTSB. We aimed at identifying categories of LTSBs and examining their separate associations with indices of health among Japanese older adults. METHODS A postal survey collected data on self-reported health, psychological dist...
In this paper we describe a novel method for evidential reasoning [1]. It involves mod elling the process of evidential reasoning in three steps, namely, evidence structure con struction, evidence accumulation, and deci sion making. The proposed method, called 'RfS, is novel in that evidence strength is associated with an evidential support relationship (an argu ment) between a pair of stat...
This paper examines several existing voltage equalizers techniques for energy storage system, with a focusing on batteries and supercapacitors. Due satisfy the demands, cells are often coupled in series/parallel. However, divergence of distributed among produces problems imbalance that affecting ageing system solved through equalizers. Several assessments from features topologies balancing circ...
Walking robots can be divided into two categories: on one hand the fully actuated robots that don’t use passive dynamics, and on the other hand the energy efficient passive walkers. For autonomous robots the energy storage is a problem, forecasting a bright future for passive walkers. At this moment the passive walkers are restricted to one walking speed due to the eigenfrequency, which is fixe...
This paper illustrates a subjective safety-cost based design-decision support framework using fuzzy logic and evidential reasoning approaches. The framework is divided into three parts. The first one is for safety analysis and synthesis including fuzzy rule-based safety estimation using the fuzzy rule-based evidential reasoning (FRB-ER) approach, as well as the safety synthesis using the eviden...
We present a logic for reasoning about the evidence-based knowledge and beliefs and the evidential dynamics of non-logically-omniscient agents. We do this by adapting key tools and techniques from Dynamic Epistemic Logic, Justification Logic, and Belief Revision so as to provide a lightweight, yet finegrained approach that characterizes well-known epistemic and doxastic attitudes in terms of th...
The main purpose of this article is to introduce the evidential reasoning approach, a research methodology, for decision making under uncertainty. Bayesian framework and Dempster-Shafer theory of belief functions are used to model uncertainties in the decision problem. We first introduce the basics of the DS theory and then discuss the evidential reasoning approach and related concepts. Next, w...
