We prove some general density statements about the subgroup of invertible points on intermediate jacobians; namely those points in the Abel-Jacobi image of nullhomologous algebraic cycles on projective algebraic manifolds.

in this work, we consider each normal alkane as a hypothetical mixtureof methyland methylene groups, in which the interaction potential of each pair is assumed to be the average effective pair potential. then, the lir equation of state (eos) is extended for such a hypothetical mixture. also, three basic compounds, namely, propane, n-butane and cyclohexane, are used to obtain the contribution of...

Soil thermal conductivity is significantly influenced by saturation and dry density. In this paper, a family of empirical correlations are presented which relate soil thermal conductivity to saturation for five soil types, namely, gravel, sand, silt, clay and peat, in both the frozen and unfrozen states. These correlations were developed from a soil thermal conductivity database which was const...

This work provides an example that motivates and illustrates theoretical results related to a combination of small-gain and density propagation conditions. Namely, in case the small-gain fails to hold at certain points or intervals the density propagation condition can be applied to assure global stability properties. We repeat the theoretical results here and demonstrate how they can be applie...

Here N is the spruce budworm population density, rB is the linear birth rate of the budworm and KB is the carrying capacity which is related to the density of foliage available on the trees. The P(N)-term represents predation, generally by birds. To be specific, we take the form for P(N) suggested by Ludwig et al., namely BN2 A2+N2 , where A and B are positive constants, and the dynamics of N(t...

based on the date obtained through food consumption surveys conducted by the institute of nutrition and food technology research (during 1991-95), the dietary quality of seven provinces (eastern azerbaijan, isfahan, tehran, khorasan, khouzestan, sistan-baluchestan and fars) was assessed. using allowances figures for developing countries, single value nutrient density (s.v.n.a.) was designed for...

Detergents are a viable method for earwax removal. Specifically, bile salts such as cholate and deoxycholate, work well for this function especially when placed in alkaline solution provided by sodium phosphate in the presence of 0.1 M sodium chloride. In vitro studies reveal these agents to quickly penetrate earwax, as visualized by yellowish color of the solution and lack of cohesion of the r...

field study was conducted at five villages of Botswana namely, Tsabong, Tshane, Mathathane, Motlhabaneng and Tsetsejwe during the periods of June to August 1999 and June to August 2000. The objective of the study was to assess and compare the soil physicochemical properties of soils at the five villages and to study the effect of cultivation on some soil physical properties. Parameters measured...

We study an initial boundary value problem for the two-dimensional Navier-Stokes equations of compressible fluids in the unit square domain. We establish a blow-up criterion for the local strong solutions in terms of the density only. Namely, if the density is away from vacuum (ρ = 0) and the concentration of mass (ρ = ∞), then a local strong solution can be continued globally in time.

simplification universal as a universal feature of translation means translated texts tend to use simpler language than original texts in the same language and it can be critically investigated through common concepts: type/token ratio, lexical density, and mean sentence length. although steps have been taken to test this hypothesis in various text types in different linguistic communities, in ...
