This review considers current Zr alloys and opportunities for advanced zirconium to meet the demands of a structural material in fusion reactors. based materials breeder blanket offer potential increase tritium breeding ratio above that Fe, Si V materials. Current commercial might be considered as water-cooled designs, due similar operating temperature fission power plants. For blankets designe...

In this study, MCM-41 mesoporous silica nanoparticles (NPs) and MCM-41÷Fe3O4 mesoporous silica NPs were prepared by sol-gel method using CTAB (cetyltrimethylammonium bromide) as template and TEOS (tetraethyl orthosilicate) as silica precursor in order to use these materials as drug delivery system (DDS) for different biologically active agents. The MCM-41 and MCM-41÷Fe3O4 mesoporous silica NPs ...

Ecofriendly chitosan/Al-MCM-48 (CH/Al-MCM) was synthesized from natural microcline and assessed as a potential adsorbent of As (V) ions with enhanced capacity. The adsorption properties CH/Al-MCM were in comparison Al-MCM-41 single phase. studied exhibits 178.6 mg/g capacity which is higher than (124 mg/g). illustrated based on the pseudo-first-order kinetic, Langmuir isotherm, monolayer model ...

Ferroelectric 1 mol.% La3+ and 0.5 mol.% Fe3+ codoped Pb[Zr0 54Ti0 46]O3 ceramics were studied by means of multifrequency electron paramagnetic resonance (EPR) spectroscopy. The obtained results prove that iron is incorporated at the [Zr,Ti]-site, acting as an acceptor and building a charged (Fe Zr,Ti V O ) defect dipole with a directly coordinated oxygen vacancy for partial charge compensation...

Biginelli reactions were well catalyzed on mesoporous silica MCM-41 (M41) whose activity was much greater than that of amorphous silica. Octane was the most suitable among 6 kinds of solvents examined. The addition of metal ions on M41 enhanced the catalytic activity in the order Al > Ti > Fe = In. Al-planted M41s with Si/Al ratios of 45-35 showed the highest catalytic activity and could be use...

V-doped TiO2 quantum dots (QDs) possessing many Ti(3+) defects were fabricated by simple hydrolysis using MCM-41 as a support. The QDs show high charge-separation efficiency and high photocatalytic activity due to the quantum size effect and the newly formed defect- and dopant-mediated band levels.

The 3D morphological evolution of titanium foams as they undergo a two-step fabrication process is quantitatively characterized through x-ray microand nano-tomography. In the first process step, a Cu–Ti–Cr–Zr prealloy is immersed in liquid Mg, where Cu is alloyed with Mg while a skeleton of crystalline Ti–Cr–Zr is created. In the second step, the Mg–Cu phase is etched in acid, leaving a Ti–Cr–Z...
