In this paper we present explicit formulas for the eccentric connectivity index of three classes of chain hexagonal cacti. Further, it is shown that the extremal chain hexagonal cacti with respect to the eccentric connectivity index belong to one of the considered types. Some open problems and possible directions of further research are mentioned in the concluding section.
let $d_{n,m}=big[frac{2n+1-sqrt{17+8(m-n)}}{2}big]$ and $e_{n,m}$ be the graph obtained from a path $p_{d_{n,m}+1}=v_0v_1 cdots v_{d_{n,m}}$ by joining each vertex of $k_{n-d_{n,m}-1}$ to $v_{d_{n,m}}$ and $v_{d_{n,m}-1}$, and by joining $m-n+1-{n-d_{n,m}choose 2}$ vertices of $k_{n-d_{n,m}-1}$ to $v_{d_{n,m}-2}$. zhang, liu and zhou [on the maximal eccentric connectivity ind...
Let [Formula: see text] be a commutative Noetherian ring. For finitely generated text]-module text], Northcott introduced the reducibility index of which is number submodules appearing in an irredundant irreducible decomposition submodule text]. On other hand, for Artinian Macdonald proved that sum-irreducible representation does not depend on choice representation. This called sum-reducibility...
Algorithms for estimating directed connectivity have become indispensable to further understand the neurodynamics between functionally coupled brain areas. The evaluation of directed connectivity on the propagation of brain activity has largely been based on simulated data or toy models, where various hidden properties of neurophysiological data may not be fully recapitulated. In this study, di...
The atom-bond connectivity index of graph is a topological index proposed by Estrada et al. as ABC (G) uvE (G ) (du dv 2) / dudv , where the summation goes over all edges of G, du and dv are the degrees of the terminal vertices u and v of edge uv. In the present paper, some upper bounds for the second type of atom-bond connectivity index are computed.
Recently, the concept of overall connectivity of a graph G, TC(G), was introduced as the sum of vertex degrees of all subgraphs of G. The approach of more detailed characterization of molecular topology by accounting for all substructures is extended here to the concept of overall distance OW(G) of a graph G, defined as the sum of distances in all subgraphs of G, as well as the sum of eth-order...
Sufficient conditions on the zeroth-order general Randic index for maximally edge-connected digraphs
Let D be a digraph with vertex set V(D) .For vertex v V(D), the degree of v, denoted by d(v), is defined as the minimum value if its out-degree and its in-degree . Now let D be a digraph with minimum degree and edge-connectivity If is real number, then the zeroth-order general Randic index is defined by . A digraph is maximally edge-connected if . In this paper we present sufficient condi...
For a nontrivial graph G, its first Zagreb coindex is defined as the sum of degree sum over all non-adjacent vertex pairs in G and the second Zagreb coindex is defined as the sum of degree product over all non-adjacent vertex pairs in G. Till now, established results concerning Zagreb coindices are mainly related to composite graphs and extremal values of some special graphs. The existing liter...
