In this paper, by presenting some notions and theorems, we obtaindifferent types of fuzzy topologies. In fact, we obtain someLowen-type  and Chang-type fuzzy topologies on general fuzzyautomata. To this end, first we define a Kuratowski fuzzy interioroperator which induces a  Lowen-type  fuzzy topology on the  set ofstates of a max- min general   fuzzy automaton. Also by  provingsome theorems, ...

A novel algorithm to extrude smooth, near-body volume meshes from surface meshes of arbitrary topology is presented. These meshes are classified as generalized meshes because multiple element topologies may be present within the same mesh. The algorithm utilizes a three-step, parabolic scheme based on the Poisson equation used in structured grid generation to extrude the volume mesh. Several pr...

Quantum homogeneous vector bundles are introduced by a direct description of their sections in the context of Woronowicz type compact quantum groups. The bundles carry natural topologies inherited from the quantum groups, and their sections furnish projective modules over algebras of functions on quantum homogeneous spaces. Further properties of the quantum homogeneous vector bundles are invest...

A fuzzy ideal on a set X is a non empty collection of subsets of X with heredity property which is also closed under arbitrary union and finite intersections. In this paper, we introduce a weak form of fuzzy ideals namely fuzzy pre-ideals and a way to obtain new fuzzy topologies is presented in this paper. Furthermore some interesting results for fuzzy ideals are generalized to fuzzy pre-ideal.

Biological brains can adapt and learn from past experience. In neuroevolution, i.e. evolving artificial neural networks (ANNs), one way that agents controlled by ANNs can evolve the ability to adapt is by encoding local learning rules. However, a significant problem with most such approaches is that local learning rules for every connection in the network must be discovered separately. This pap...

Very recently, Lin et al. [1] introduced the notion of generalized quasi-metric inspired from the notion of generalized metric, defined by Branciari [2]. It is a very well-known fact that the concept of generalizedmetric can be derived from the definition ofmetric by replacing the triangle inequality with a weaker condition, namely, quadrilateral inequality. In spite of the analogy between the ...

This paper presents a volumetric approach for image-based three-dimensional (3D) reconstruction of external anatomical structures. This has been a major research topic in Computer Vision. However, it is still a complex problem to solve, when automation, speed and precision are required or when the objects involved present complex topologies or strict photo characteristics. Our work is based on ...

An automatically switched optical network (ASON) can be used as the transport layer of generalized multiprotocol label switching (GMPLS) networks. The design of an ASON involves determining the number of optical cross-connects (OXC) in the network, the required number of ports per OXC, and the interconnection topology of the OXCs. Given the number of ports per OXC, we present a linear algorithm...

Nonrigid mathematical structures may no longer form usual Eilen-berg-Mac Lane categories, but more general ones, as illustrated by pseudo-topologies. A rather general concept of pseudo-topology was used in constructing differential algebras of generalized functions containing the Schwartz distributions, [4-6,8-11]. These algebras proved to be convenient in solving large classes of nonlinear par...

Soft set theory is a newly emerging tool to deal with uncertain problems. Based on soft sets, soft rough approximation operators are introduced, and soft rough sets are defined by using soft rough approximation operators. Soft rough sets, which could provide a better approximation than rough sets do, can be seen as a generalized rough set model. This paper is devoted to investigating soft rough...
