The genus Sterigmostemum M. Bieb. belongs to the tribe Hesperideae of the Brassicaceae family. The results of this research confirmed the recognition of five species in Iran: S.incanum, S. sulphureum, S. ramosissimum, S. acanthocarpum and S. longistylum.
