Approximation theory is concerned with the ability to approximate functions by simpler and more easily calculated functions. The first question we ask in approximation theory concerns the possibility of approximation. Is the given family of functions from which we plan to approximate dense in the set of functions we wish to approximate? In this work we survey some of the main density results an...

The purpose of the present paper is a sociological analysis on the attitude of the Islamic religions approximation. It is an attempt to answer the question what the attitude of students is to the Islamic religions approximation. According to the theory which tends to Tzyshh and Krvmka, three conceptual elements, evaluative and action elements have been analyzed, and in terms of population, the ...

We study the theory of best approximation in tensor product and the direct sum of some lattice normed spacesX_{i}. We introduce quasi tensor product space anddiscuss about the relation between tensor product space and thisnew space which we denote it by X boxtimesY. We investigate best approximation in direct sum of lattice normed spaces by elements which are not necessarily downwardor upward a...

We discuss and examine Weierstrass’ main contributions to approximation theory. §1. Weierstrass This is a story about Karl Wilhelm Theodor Weierstrass (Weierstraß), what he contributed to approximation theory (and why), and some of the consequences thereof. We start this story by relating a little about the man and his life. Karl Wilhelm Theodor Weierstrass was born on October 31, 1815 at Osten...

There are many situations in which it is desirable to evaluate a function of a matrix. For instance, in lattice quantum field theory it is sometimes desirable to evaluate the square root of a discretised Dirac operator D/ in order to calculate the effects of varying the number of fermionic flavours [1,2,3,4,5], or to construct a good approximation to Neuberger’s operator for GinspargWilson ferm...

This paper presents a general construction of compactly supported biorthogo-nal wavelets in L 2 (IR s). In particular, a concrete method for the construction of bivariate compactly supported biorthogonal wavelets of increasing smoothness is provided. Several examples are computed. The estimate of smoothness of those examples are given based on criteria established in RiS3].

In this paper we define intuitionistic fuzzy metric and normedspaces. We first consider finite dimensional intuitionistic fuzzy normed spacesand prove several theorems about completeness, compactness and weak convergencein these spaces. In section 3 we define the intuitionistic fuzzy quotientnorm and study completeness and review some fundamental theorems. Finally,we consider some properties of...
