in this paper, a new numerical method is presented for solvingthe optimal control problems of bang-bang type with free or xed terminaltime. the method is based on bezier polynomials which are presented inany interval as [t0; tf ]. the problems are reduced to a constrained problemswhich can be solved by using lagrangian method. the constraints ofthese problems are terminal state and conditions....

In this paper, a minimum and near-minimum time optimal control laws are developed and compared for a rigid space platform with flexible links during an orientating maneuver with large angle of rotation. The control commands are considered as typical bang-bang with multiple symmetrical switches, the time optimal control solution for the rigid-body mode is obtained as a bang-bang function and app...

The problem of controlling a perturbed open loop system so as to keep its performance errors within bounds is considered. The objective is to maximize the time during which performance errors remain below a prescribed ceiling, while the controlled system’s parameters are within a specified neighborhood of their nominal values. It is shown that there is an optimal open-loop controller that achie...

in this paper, an integration of improve particle swarm optimization (ipso) incombination with successive quadratic programming (sqp) so called ipso-sqpalgorithm is proposed to solve time optimal bang-bang control problems. theprocedure is found not sensitive to the initial guess of the solution. due to randomselection in the first stage of the search process, the chance of converging to theglo...

In the paper, the bang-bang principle for a control system connected with a system of linear nonautonomous partial differential equations of hyperbolic type (the socalled Goursat-Darboux problem or continuous Fornasini-Marchesini problem) is proved. Some density result is also obtained.

In this article, we propose a new paradigm of control, called a maximum-hands-off control. A hands-off control is defined as a control that has a much shorter support than the horizon length. The maximum-hands-off control is the minimum-support (or sparsest) control among all admissible controls. We first prove that a solution to an L-optimal control problem gives a maximum-handsoff control, an...

In this paper, slewing maneuver of a flexible spacecraft with large angle of rotation is considered and assuming structural frequency uncertainties a robust minimum-time optimal control law is developed. Considering typical bang-bang control commands with multiple symmetrical switches, a parameter optimization procedure is introduced to find the control forces/torques. The constrained minimizat...

This paper deals with the study of the optimal control problem for the objective F (x, u, v) = ∫ T 0 f(x(t), x(t− h), ζ(t), u(t), v(t), t)dt, with x ∈ X, u ∈ U, v ∈ V ; X, U and V being vector spaces, and ζ(t) = ∫ h 0 R(t, τ )x(t− τ ) dτ , subject to the differential equation d dtx(t) = m(x(t), x(t− h), ζ(t), u(t), v(t), t) (0 6 t 6 T ), and the constraints g1(u(t), t) ∈ S1, g2(v(t), t) ∈ S2; n...

A fuzzy control irrigation system for cotton field is presented in this paper. The system is composed of host computer, slave computer controller, communication module, soil water sensors, valve controllers, and system software. A fuzzy control model is constructed to control the irrigation time and irrigation quantity for cotton filed. According to the water-required rules of different cotton ...

A general form of the dynamics obtained as a limit of trajectories of singularly perturbed linear control systems is presented. The limit trajectories are described in terms of probability measure-valued maps. This allows to determine the extent to which the bang-bang principle for linear control systems is carried over to the singular limit.
