the cornelian cherry is one of those less common but, nevertheless, interesting fruit species found in serbia which can be used both for food and medicine. due to a great importance of cornelian cherry fruits as safe food and a wide interest in growing this fruit species, this research was focused on examining the production technique of quality planting material of particularly large-fruit sel...

This study aims to determine the influence of location buds and mechanical treatment after grafting on growth orange seedlings. The used a Randomized Group Design (RAK), arranged factorially with nine combinations treatments three tests. first factor is budding eye system (P), consisting 3 levels, namely P1: Fourth Budding Eye; P2: Fifth P3: Sixth Eye. second (K) K1: Rootstock Cutting; K2: Rest...

The propagation of Persian walnut (Juglans regia) using grafting or budding is often difficult due to environmental factors. Temperature fluctuation and plant water status affect root pressure (xylem sap exudation “bleeding”) during grafting. An experiment was conducted find the optimum irrigation regime for patch (in July) tongue March) on Juglans regia rootstock under three environmental co...

Plant grafting is an important technique for horticultural and silvicultural production. However, many rootstock plants suffer from undesirable lateral bud outgrowth, low grafting success rates or poor rooting. Here, we used a root-predominant gene promoter (SbUGT) to drive the expression of a tryptophan-2-monooxygenase gene (iaaM) from Agrobacterium tumefaciens to increase auxin levels in toba...

Vegetative propagation of Persian walnut (Juglans regia L.) is more difficult than many other fruit trees. Temperature, relative humidity, water status the scion and rootstock, nutrient uptake, time grafting, physiological condition type all can affect grafting success. An experiment was conducted to evaluate effects post-budding irrigation frequency (3, 7 10-days), budding date (14 June, 5 26 ...

The outgrowth of the vertebrate tail is thought to involve the proliferation of regionalised stem/progenitor cell populations formed during gastrulation. To follow these populations over extended periods, we used cells from GFP-positive transgenic chick embryos as a source for donor tissue in grafting experiments. We determined that resident progenitor cell populations are localised in the chic...

High-quality rubber seeds ensure high seedling performance and successful production of planting materials in the nursery management. An experiment was conducted at Moneragala Sub Station RRISL 2020 to investigate plants raised from different seed quantities determine growth bud-grafting success. Treatments were setup as two times quantity taken harvested three rounds (T1-control), (T2), four f...

Supernumerary wing structures are readily produced by grafting pieces of wing-bud mesoderm into different locations of host wing buds, but the mechanism underlying their formation remains obscure. The major aim of this study was to examine the ability of posterior quail wing-bud mesoderm, cultured in vitro long enough to lose ZPA (zone of polarizing activity) activity, to stimulate or participa...

phytoplasmal big bud is one of the important diseases of tomato (lycopersicon esculentum) in the world. the disease has been reported from iranian provinces of bushehr, isfahan, fars, khorasane razavi and ardabil. during a summer surrvey in 2010, symptoms of big bud disease was observed in tomato fields of dorood area in lorestan province. characteristic symptoms of the disease were small thick...

An estimate of the time required for positional signalling in the chick wing bud was obtained by grafting irradiated quail polarizing regions to host wing buds and removing them at various times. Such polarizing regions must be present for at least 15 h to induce additional structures in the host wings. This results is discussed in terms of a diffusible morphogen model.
