DSAP: Disseminated superficial actinic porokeratosis DSP: Disseminated superficial porokeratosis INTRODUCTION The porokeratoses are a group of disorders of abnormal epidermal keratinization resulting in the characteristic histologic feature of the cornoid lamella. Several clinical variants of porokeratosis exist, which are unified by this common histologic feature but differ in morphology, dist...

Porokeratotic eccrine ostial and dermal duct nevus (PEODDN) is known as an uncommon disorder of keratinization in which acrosyringium is involved; however, its causes have yet remained unknown. It is presented clinically by discrete keratotic papules on distal extremities arranged in a linear pattern along Blaschko lines. Histopathologically, it is characterized by cornoid lamella, which is alm...

Porokeratosis is an inherited, clonal disorder of epidermal keratinization classically characterized by development of single or multiple annular lesions with raised, sharply marginated, keratotic ridge and central atrophy. This clinical presentation may vary with different types of porokeratosis but histopathologically unified by the consistent finding of ‘cornoid lamella’. Porokeratosis may d...

Porokeratosis is a specific disorder of keratinization that has five clinical types and shows a characteristic 'cornoid lamella' on histopathology. Malignant degeneration has been described in all forms of porokeratosis. To the best of our knowledge, this is the first Indian report of multicentric squamous cell carcinoma complicating porokeratosis.

Porokeratisis is a specific keratinization disorder. The presence of cornoid lamella is histologically characteristic of the disorder. This report describes a 23-year-old male patient with multiple porokeratotic lesions with bilateral symmetric localization on the ala of the nose, which may be a rare variant of porokeratosis.

Cornoid lamellation is a specific disorder of epidermal maturation manifested by a vertical "column" of parakeratosis and is the hallmark of porokeratosis. The cornoid lamella is characterized by a ridgelike parakeratosis. We present 11 patients with solitary lesions of a distinct pattern of cornoid lamellation. The mean age at presentation clinically was 57 years; there were 9 men and 2 women....

Porokeratosis is a disorder of epidermal keratinization characterized by the presence of annular hyperkeratotic plaques. Its etiopathogenesis is not yet fully understood, but a relationship with immunosuppression has been reported. Dermoscopic examination revealed a classic yellowish-white ring-like structure that resembled "volcanic crater contour" - the so-called cornoid lamella. We describe ...

This 66-year-old Iranian gentle man had a one-year history of asymptomatic keratotic papules with a linear distribution on the skin of his right palm near the wrist. On histopathologic examination-cornoid lamella-like parakeratotic columns above eccrine ducts were observed. The acrosyringium was also dilated. The diagnosis was porokeratotic eccrine ostial and dermal duct nevus. The late-onset d...

Sir, Porokeratotic eccrine ostial and dermal duct naevus (PEODDN) is a rare disorder of keratinization with eccrine involvement that histologically presents a cornoid lamella exclusively associated with eccrine ostia and the underlying sweat ducts (1). It is an expression of genetic mosaicism (2) and is characterized by asymptomatic grouped keratotic papules and plaques with a linear distributi...
