Trace volatile constituents of human urine, serum, and cerebrospinal fluid were concentrated on a porous polymer precolumn, and resolved with high-efficiency glass capillary columns. Thin-film glass columns facilitate effective resolution of underivatized compounds within the volatility range up to docosane in relatively short analysis times. Glass capillary columns coated with stationary phase...

The alkanes melting (n-Octadecane, n-Docosane) is studied experimentally. droplets size and shape histories are analyzed compared with the characteristics of n-alkanes phase transition solid-liquid. It found that droplet equivalent diameter increases significantly due to thermal expansion. At same time its evolves continuously: initially elongated becomes almost spherical then elongates again. ...

the essential oil obtained by hydrodistillation of the aerial parts of rosa damascenea mill. was analyzed by gc/ms. the yield of the oil was 0.16% (v/w). among twenty five components, eight components, representing 99.98% of the oil, were characterized. nonadecane (39.73%), heneicosane (32.38%), docosane (7.34%), citronellol (6.14%) and 9-nonadecene (5.69%), were found to be major constituents.

Abstract New measurements of the thermal conductivity n -docosane, -tetracosane, 1,6-hexanediol, and 1,8-octanediol, in solid liquid phase, are presented. The technique employed is transient hot-wire technique, based on a full theoretical model. absolute characterized by an uncertainty 1%. At 95% confidence level, standard deviations 0.40% for phase (267 K to 308 K), 0.60% (330 360 K); (265 306...

The chemical composition of the hips essential oils of 9 taxa of Rosa L. was analyzed and compared using the standardized analytical GC and GC/MS methods. The volatile hips oil compositions for these species are presented. All oil samples were dominated by following components: vitispiran (isomer), a-E-acaridial, dodecanoic acid, hexadecanoic acid, docosane (C22), beta-ionone, 6-methyl-5-hepten...
