Variability in generational behavior of cache blocks is a key challenge for cache management policies that aim to identify dead blocks as early and as accurately as possible to maximize cache efficiency. Existing management policies are limited by the metrics they use to identify dead blocks, leading to low coverage and/or low accuracy in the face of variability. In response, we introduce a new...

This article considers novel methods for evolving species in a standard generational evolutionary algorithm. Unlike other methods, these methods replace the concept of distance between individuals with tag bits that identify the species to which an individual belongs.

The Evolutionary Computation has grown much in last few years. Inspired by biological evolution, this field is used to solve NP-hard optimization problems to come up with best solution. TSP is most popular and complex problem used to evaluate different algorithms. In this paper, we have conducted a comparative analysis between NSGA-II, NSGA-III, SPEA-2, MOEA/D and VEGA to find out which algorit...

Assessing the performance of Pareto front (PF) approximations is a key issue in field evolutionary multi/many-objective optimization. Inverted generational distance (IGD) has been widely accepted as indicator for evaluating comprehensive quality PF approximation. However, IGD usually becomes infeasible when facing real-world optimization problem it needs to know true priori. In addition, time c...

Intergenerational gap refers to the disturbance and crisis in the cultural sequence of generations, which leads to conflict in terms of values and norms between parents and children. Until recently, this phenomenon has not been considered a serious issue in Iranian society and the continuation of similar thought patterns through the generations has prevented the emergence of distance and variou...

This paper considers a new method for maintaining diversity by creating subpopulations in a standard generational evolutionary algorithm. Unlike other methods, it replaces the concept of distance between individuals with tag bits that identify the subpopulation to which an individual belongs. Two variations of this method are presented, illustrating the feasibility of this approach.

A new occupational stratification scale, “HISCAM” (historical CAMSIS), has been developed to facilitate the analysis of data coded to the Historical International Standard Classification of Occupations. This article describes the derivation and properties of the HISCAM measure. The scale was derived using patterns of inter-generational occupational connections, replicating a method of “social i...
