Peritoneal lymphomatosis is an extremely rare presentation of lymphoma. Due to its relative low frequency, it receives much less attention than peritoneal carcinomatosis. The challenge is to differentiate between lymphomatosis and carcinomatosis, as well as peritoneal tuberculosis or other pathologic entities within the peritoneal cavity based essentially on radiologic features. 18</...

Peritoneal lymphomatosis is seen less frequently, but when seen, it is mostly associated with aggressive variants of malignancies. FDG uptake has been reported in peritoneal lymphomatosis both in DLBCL and Burkitt's lymphoma. We report a case of Burkitt's lymphoma with involvement of entire peritoneum, which looks like a "peritoneal super scan" on FDG PET-CT.

INTRODUCTION Prostate cancer is known to have a tendency to metastasize to bone. Skeletal scintigraphy can be used to show multiple lesions. Diffuse metastasis, which is not infrequent in prostate cancer, can also be suspected on the basis of a 'super scan'. However, this phenomenon in nuclear medicine has several other causes that need to be considered. CASE PRESENTATION A patient with a his...

A 67-year-old man presented with malaise and marked anemia. A diagnostic workup revealed severe pancytopenia on a complete blood count and diffuse sclerotic change in the axial skeleton on a plain abdominal radiograph. Bone metastases being suspected from these findings, bone scintigraphy was performed. The bone scan demonstrated uniformly increased skeletal activity with faint soft-tissue acti...

The aim of the present study was to evaluate the association between computed tomography (CT) images and the pathological observations of non-Hodgkin lymphoma (NHL) patients with peritoneal, omental and mesenteric involvement. In total, 26 patients suffering from an NHL with peritoneal, omental or mesenteric involvement were reviewed retrospectively, and the observed CT scan characteristics wer...

In this paper, we investigate an ROI image reconstruction in super short scan. The redundant rays in such scan are further shielded by using dynamic collimation. The acquired data coming with an extremely minimized radiation dose are sufficient for image reconstruction. For compensating resulting truncation, we apply a recently proposed algorithm Approximated Truncation Robust Algorithm for Com...

A 50-yr-old man presented with intermittent hemoptysis and was diagnosed small cell lung cancer. (18)F-FDG PET/CT for staging demonstrated extensive hypermetabolic lesions throughout the skeleton and liver. Interestingly, skeletal muscles of limbs, mediastinum, bowel, and especially brain showed very low FDG uptake. Because of some characteristics in common with super scan on skeletal scintigra...
