We introduce an open-source software Aamks for fire risk assessment. This article focuses on a component of Aamks – an evacuation simulator named a-evac. A-evac models evacuation of humans in the fire environment produced by CFAST fire simulator. In the article we discuss the probabilistic evacuation approach, automatic planning of exit routes, the interactions amongst the moving evacuees and t...

24  ABSTRACT Cars are being upgraded continuously to pave the path for intelligent transportation. This paper utilizes data mining for automatic route prediction in a passenger car through unsupervised machine learning. The use of Fuzzy Clustering Algorithm makes this concept probabilistic. It groups different routes based on the passengers in the car and provides suggestion for the driver dur...

As networks grow in size, heterogeneity, and complexity of applications and network services, an efficient network management system needs to work effectively even in face of incomplete management information, uncertain situations and dynamic changes. We use Bayesian networks to model the network management and consider the probabilistic backward inference between the managed entities, which ca...

The idea of probabilistic metric space was introduced by Menger and he showed that probabilistic metric spaces are generalizations of metric spaces. Thus, in this paper, we prove some of the important features and theorems and conclusions that are found in metric spaces. At the beginning of this paper, the distance distribution functions are proposed. These functions are essential in defining p...

For most of the twentieth century, collective bargaining provided the terms on which labour was commonly employed in Britain. However, the quarter century since 1980 has seen the collapse of collectivism as the main way of regulating employment. Our argument is that the tacit settlement between organized labour and employers was undermined by increasing product market competition. The paper fir...

The distribution of intertidal organisms can often be determined by processes operating at the time of recruitment. Recruitment has been demonstrated to influence the composition of assemblages of natural habitats, but there is less evidence of its importance in artificial habitats. Coastal areas are becoming increasingly urbanised, with the replacement of many natural habitats by man-made stru...

the notion of a probabilistic metric  space  corresponds to thesituations when we do not know exactly the  distance.  probabilistic metric space was  introduced by karl menger. alsina, schweizer and sklar gave a general definition of  probabilistic normed space based on the definition of menger [1]. in this note we study the pn spaces which are  topological vector spaces and the open mapping an...

In this paper, the connection between Menger probabilistic norms and H"{o}hle probabilistic norms is discussed. In addition, the correspondence between probabilistic norms and Wu-Fang fuzzy (semi-) norms is established. It is shown that a probabilistic norm (with triangular norm $min$) can generate a Wu-Fang fuzzy semi-norm and conversely, a Wu-Fang fuzzy norm can generate a probabilistic norm.

Convective weather is responsible for large delays and widespread disruptions in the U.S. National Airspace System, especially during summer. Traffic Flow Management algorithms require reliable forecasts of route blockage to schedule and route traffic. This paper demonstrates how raw convective weather forecasts, which provide deterministic predictions of the Vertically Integrated Liquid (the p...

<p style='text-indent:20px;'>We consider a median location problem in the presence of two probabilistic line barriers on plane under rectilinear distance. It is assumed that move their corresponding horizontal routes uniformly. We first investigate different scenarios for position and routes, then define visibility invisibility conditions along with expected barrier distance functions. Th...
