This article focusses on the importance of space in mathematical models of cultural evolution, cooperation, niche construction and social learning. We discuss the benefits of including spacial effects in these evolutionary models and illustrate how the inclusion of space has changed accepted and long-standing results. We also briefly discuss the spatial dynamics of these systems and suggest fut...

The Davey-Stewartson equations are used to describe the long time evolution of a threedimensional packets of surface waves. Assuming that the argument functions are quadratic in spacial variables, we find in this paper various exact solutions modulo the most known symmetry transformations for the Davey-Stewartson equations.

We introduce spatial graphs through a natural extension of the concept of pla-narity in three dimensions. For a graph G=(V,E), a face is a simple cycle of edges, and a complete set of faces is such that each edge belonging to a cycle in E is on at least one face in the set. G is spatial if admits a three-dimensional representation R with a complete set of faces consisting of simple surfaces, su...

We present the basic properties of reversible one-dimensional cellular automata equivalent by permutations with the full shift, this work only takes reversible automata of neighborhood size 2. In these cases, we prove that the evolution rule defining the temporal behavior of the automaton may specify the spacial behavior as well. Based in this result we present a procedure for constructing conf...
