â â â  parsian alluvial fan system is a part of asyab-kharabeh fluvial system that response it to quaternary climate changes is the main goal of this study. for this aim, climatic proxies and traces in alluvial fan structure were investigated base d o n four categories: aggradation and degradation phases, debris flows, size changes in deposited materials and formation of alluvial fan tufas. pri...

we find an explicit expression of the tutte polynomial of an $n$-fan. we also find a formula of the tutte polynomial of an $n$-wheel in terms of the tutte polynomial of $n$-fans. finally, we give an alternative expression of the tutte polynomial of an $n$-wheel and then prove the explicit formula for the tutte polynomial of an $n$-wheel.

The widespread use of squirrel cage fans, especially in ventilation and home and industrial environments, has led to the formation of many research efforts to improve performance and reduce the sound produced by this type of fan. In the literature, the most important factor in generating sound in this category of fans is the confrontation between the rotor exit flow and the volute of the fan. I...

abstract alluvial fans are the most striking phenomena o fluvial geomorphology . these forms are found in frount of mountains and pediments of arid and semiarid zones . alluvial fans are affected by climate changes and tectonics . occurring of tectonic events lead to reaction of alluvial fans . some of these reactions appear on dissection of alluvial fans and displacement of depocenters on allu...

The paper deals with 21 valid species of the genus Thagria from Guangxi Autonomous Region, China. Eight new species are described and illustrated: T. biprocessa Fan & Dai, sp. nov., T. decussata Fan & Dai, sp. nov., T. irregularis Fan & Dai, sp. nov., T. multispinosa Fan & Dai, sp. nov., T. paramultipars Fan & Li, sp. nov., T. triangula Fan & Li, sp. nov., T. trifasciata Fan & Li, sp. nov. and ...

The objective of this paper is the numerical study of the flow through an axial fan and examining the effects of blade design parameters on the performance of the fan. The axial fan is extensively used for cooling of the electronic devices and servers. Simulation of the three-dimensional incompressible turbulent flow was conducted by numerical solution of the (RANS) equations for a model. The S...

Background: In intensity modulated radiation therapy, cone beam computed tomography (CT) has been used to evaluate patients prior to treatment. This study conducted a comparative evaluation of the image reconstruction ability of the clinically used half-fan bowtie filter and the full-fan bowtie filter. Materals and Methods: A CT simulation marker was inserted inside a human phantom, and the pel...

The WD-40 repeat protein FAN binds to a distinct domain of the p55 receptor for tumor necrosis factor (TNF) and signals the activation of neutral sphingomyelinase (N-SMase). To analyze the physiological role of FAN in vivo, we generated FAN-deficient mice by targeted gene disruption. Mice lacking a functional FAN protein do not show any overt phenotypic abnormalities; in particular, the archite...

Excessive coupling between object-oriented classes is widely acknowledged as a maintenance problem that can result in a higher propensity for faults in systems and a ‘stored up’ future problem. This paper explores the relationship between ‘fan-in’ and ‘fan-out’ coupling metrics over multiple versions of opensource software. More specifically, the relationship between the two metrics is explored...

Generation of proapoptotic sphingolipids by neutral sphingomyelinase activation is an early response to hypoxia/reoxygenation (HR) in cardiomyocytes. Factor associated with neutral sphingomyelinase activation (FAN) mediates activation of sphingomyelinase and subsequent apoptosis. However, the participation of FAN in HR-induced cardiomyocyte cell death has not been elucidated. We therefore inves...
