چکیده مقاله:

Empathy, coping styles, and professional quality of life play a significant role in an individual’s professional life. Numerous types of research indicate that experiencing the unfavorable consequences of compassion and empathy frequently leads to compassion fatigue as well as burnout. The present research is designed to study the correlation among empathy, coping strategies, professional quality of life, and moderating role of work experience in years among young clinical psychologists in Lahore, Pakistan. A correlational survey research design was used to examine the relations among study variables in a single model. A purposive sampling technique was used to collect data from participants 23 to 37 years of age and 1 to 10 years of work experience. Data was gathered using standardized questionnaires which include the Toronto Empathy Questionnaire TEQ, Brief Coping Response Inventory COPE, and the Professional Quality of Life Scale ProQOL. Data were examined with the Cronbach alpha reliability test, descriptive statistics, Correlational analysis, categorical analysis, and Moderation analysis. The findings indicate a strong connection between empathy, adaptive coping strategies, and compassion satisfaction. Moderation analysis shows empathy and work experience in years significantly predict the professional quality of life. Clinical psychologists and students need to be educated to stimulate and further enhance problem-solving and adaptive coping skills to fulfill dynamic, complex employment requirements.
