Background: Magnetic resonance signal intensity of focal liver lesions is affected by numerous pathologic factors. Lesion histologic features, such as cellularity, vascularity, stromal component, and intratumoral necrosis or hemorrhage, strongly affect T1 and T2 relaxation times. Aim: Our study is done to assess the lesion characterization potential of MRI by evaluating unenhanced and dynamic g...

METHOD In this prospective study 73 patients with colorectal cancer and f...

A 30-year-old lady treated with capecitabine for primary colon adenocarcinoma developed liver lesions suspicious for metastasis. Liver biopsies showed sinusoidal dilatation thought to be secondary to capecitabine. This case highlights the importance of differentiating between benign and malignant liver lesions during cancer surveillance preventing unnecessary liver resections for benign disease.

•The DLIR demonstrated a significant noise reduction and improved image quality. could be used as surrogate for the IR method. •Higher strength of was possible to decrease lesion conspicuity. AIM To evaluate use deep-learning-based reconstruction (DLIR) algorithms in dynamic contrast-enhanced computed tomography (CT) abdomen, compare quality conspicuity among levels. MATERIALS AND METHODS This ...

Frequent gains of 20q have been identified recently in many neoplasias, including breast, bladder, ovarian, pancreatic, and colon cancers. A high level of 20q13.2 amplification is associated with poor prognosis in breast cancer. We investigated the copy number of the 20q13.2 region including the ZNF217 oncogene in 17 nonmetastatic colorectal cancers (CRCs), 18 primary CRC tumors with liver meta...
