With the emergence of predictive maintenance in 1980, radical changes took place in maintenance planning. Predictive maintenance depends on the prediction of facilities failure which are used at present. By predicting the failures correctly in future, we can decrease the cost of maintenance to a great extent. This approach involves using multiple techniques including artificial intelligence, ...

I n recent years, many numerical methods have been proposed for solving fuzzy linear integral equations. For example, in [10], the authors used the divided differences and finite differences methods for solving a parametric of the fuzzy Fredholm integral equations of the second kind. Also, in [9], a numerical method is proposed for the approximate solution of fuzzy linear Fredholm functional in...

Since the discovery of fuzzy sets, the arithmetic operations of fuzzy numbers (Zadeh [7, 8]) which may be viewed as a generalization of interval arithmetic (Moore [5]) have emerged as an important area of research within the theory of fuzzy sets (Mizumoto and Tanaka [4], Dubois and Prade [2]). The arithmetic operations of fuzzy numbers have been performed either by extension principle [7, 8] or...

In this work, by Zadeh’s extension principle, we extend representable uninorms and their fuzzy implications (coimplications) to type-2 fuzzy sets. Emphatically, we investigate in which algebras of fuzzy truth values the extended operations are type-2 uninorms and type-2 fuzzy implications (coimplications), respectively.

This paper presents a thresholding approach by performing fuzzy partition on a two-dimensional (2-D) histogram based on fuzzy relation and maximum fuzzy entropy principle. The experiments with various gray level and color images have demonstrated that the proposed approach outperforms the 2-D nonfuzzy approach and the one dimensional (1-D) fuzzy partition approach.

The main purpose of this study is to discuss the uniform boundednessprinciple in fuzzifying topological linear spaces. At first theconcepts of uniformly boundedness principle and fuzzy equicontinuousfamily of linear operators are proposed, then the relations betweenfuzzy equicontinuous and uniformly bounded are studied, and with thehelp of net convergence, the characterization of fuzzyequiconti...

FUZZY LINEAR PROGRAMMING USING MULTIATTRIBUTE VALUE FUNCTION Masahiro INUIGUCHI Hidetomo ICHIHASHI Hideo TANAKA University of Osaka Prefecture In this paper, a fuzzy linear programming problem is formulated under the assumption that a multiattribute value function is given, and its method of solution is proposed. The fuzzy linear programming problem in this paper is the unconstrained linear pro...

Approaches to approximate diagonalization of variable-coefficient differential operators using similarity transformations are presented. These diagonalization techniques are inspired by the interpretation of the Uncertainty Principle by Fefferman, known as the SAK Principle, that suggests the location of eigenfunctions of self-adjoint differential operators in phase space. The similarity transf...
