We present a parallel software implementation for computing the singular value decomposition (SVD) of general, banded or bidiagonal matrices. First, the matrix is reduced to bidiagonal form. This reduction can be rearranged in a way that allows heavy use of matrix-matrix operations. Then the singular values are computed in an iterative process. Finally the singular vectors are computed independ...
abstract: about 60% of total premium of insurance industry is pertained?to life policies in the world; while the life insurance total premium in iran is less than 6% of total premium in insurance industry in 2008 (sigma, no 3/2009). among the reasons that discourage the life insurance industry is the problem of adverse selection. adverse selection theory describes a situation where the inf...
This paper presents an approach to design observer-based fault detection (FD) systems for continuous linear time-invariant systems directly from frequency domain data. The design doesn’t need knowledge of system model. The computation mainly consists in a singular value decomposition (SVD) and a QR decomposition. The proposed approach is finally illustrated by an example. Copyright c ©2005 IFAC
Adomian Decomposition Method On Nonlinear Singular Cauchy Problem of Euler-Poisson- Darbuox equation
n this paper, we apply Picard’s Iteration Method followed by Adomian Decomposition Method to solve a nonlinear Singular Cauchy Problem of Euler- Poisson- Darboux Equation. The solution of the problem is much simplified and shorter to arriving at the solution as compared to the technique applied by Carroll and Showalter (1976)in the solution of Singular Cauchy Problem.
This article introduces the functional tensor singular value decomposition (FTSVD), a novel dimension reduction framework for tensors with one mode and several tabular modes. The problem is motivated by high-order longitudinal data analysis. Our model assumes observed to be random realization of an approximate CP low-rank measured on discrete time grid. Incorporating algebra theory reproducing ...
For solving the dynamic equilibrium equation of structures, several second-order numerical methods have so far been proposed. In these algorithms, conditional stability, period elongation, amplitude error, appearance of spurious frequencies and dependency of the algorithms to the time steps are the crucial problems. Among the numerical methods, Newmark average acceleration algorithm, regardl...
