Cell division within solid tumors is confined by a stiff niche of adjacent cells and extracellular matrix, such confinement has been reported to cause chromosome mis-segregation. We find chambers can also cell death, so we developed chromosome-loss-reporter identify viable that have mis-segregated chromosomes. Mitotic under in vitro exhibit more abnormal fluorescence-null cells, compared 2D con...

thymus is a medicinal plant which contains one of the world's top ten essential oils, exhibiting antibacterial, antioxidative, food preservative and mammalian age-delaying properties. this work was aimed at identifying between-species variations requiring for selecting appropriate parents for hybridization. six iranian endemic thymus accessions belonging to thymus daënensis, t. eriocalyx and t....

introduction: the incidence of chromosomal abnormalities was investigated in untransfered embryos reuslted from in vitro fertilization (ivf) or intracytoplasmic sperm injection (icsi) procedures. materials and methods: a total of 238 embryos of varying morphology between the pronucleated stage and 8-cells were analysed. the cytogenetic method of dyban was used for chromosome preparation. embryo...

The cell nucleus houses the chromosomes, which are linked to a soft shell of lamin filaments. Experiments indicate that correlated chromosome dynamics and nuclear shape fluctuations arise from motor activity. To identify physical mechanisms, we develop model an active, crosslinked Rouse chain bound polymeric shell. System-sized motions occur but require both activity {\it and} crosslinks. Contr...

In modern medical diagnosis, the karyotype analysis for human chromosome is clinically significant diagnosis and treatment of genetic diseases. such an analysis, it critically important to segment banded chromosomes. Chromosome segmentation, however, technically challenging due variable features, complex background noise, uneven image quality images. Owing these technical challenges, existing d...

Background The human Y chromosome is essential for human sex determination and male germ cell development and maintenance. In 1996, Vogt et al. identified three recurrently deleted regions in Yq11 termed the azoospermia factor (AZF). The AZF region is subdivided into three non-overlapping sub-regions called AZFa, AZFb and AZFc and microdeletion in these regions is the most important etiology of...

The chromosome number (2n=5x=44+1B) of Tanacetum fisherae, as a new record from high mountains of southern Iran (Kerman province: Hazar mountain) is reported. A new ploidy level (pentaploidy) for the genus is presented for the first time. The studied population was aneuploid, having lost one chromosome out of the 45 expected in an x=9-based pentaploid. The distribution map, description and micr...

eleven populations of five avena species were analysed for meiotic characters including chiasma frequency and distribution as well as chromosomal association and segregation. plants of a single population of a. eriantha showed the presence of 2n = 14 (diploid) and 2n = 4x = 28 chromosome number. populations of a. barbata and a. wiestii possessed n = 14, while populations of a. sterilis ssp. lud...

Recessive dystrophic epidermolysis bullosa (RDEB) is a cutaneous genetic disease, which characterized by the loss of functional type VII collagen. The epidermis becomes extremely fragile without collagen, and patients suffer from repetitive blistering scar formation. RDEB caused mutations in COL7A1 gene (coding collagen), most have two different on each gene. Interestingly, it known that part s...
