Abstract P300 is known as the most prominent component between cognitive components in electrical brain activity. According to done research, when brain encounters an inconsistent stimulation during processing a series of usual stimulation, a P300 component appears in recorded brain signal which could distinguishes from usual ones. Amplitude of P300 decreases after a short during act of auditor...

Background: Chess is a game that involves many aspects of high level cognition such as memory, attention, focus and problem solving. Long term practice of chess can improve cognition performances and behavioral skills. Auditory memory, as a kind of memory, can be influenced by strengthening processes following long term chess playing like other behavioral skills because of common processing pat...

Introduction: Tinnitus known as a central nervous system disorder is correlated with specific oscillatory activities within auditory and non-auditory brain areas. Several studies in the past few years have revealed that in the most tinnitus cases, the response pattern of neurons in auditory system is changed due to auditory deafferentation, which leads to variation of the brain...

Objectives: Auditory Brain Stem Response (ABR) is a result of eight nerve and brain stem nuclei stimulation. Several factors may affect the latencies, interpeak latencies and amplitudes in ABR especially sex and age. In this study, age and sex influence on ABR were studied. Methods: This study was performed on 120 cases (60 males and 60 females) at Akhavan rehabilitation center of university...

Speech comprehension has been proposed to critically rely on oscillatory cortical tracking, that is, phase alignment of neural oscillations the slow temporal modulations (envelope) speech. Speech-brain entrainment is readjusted over time as transient events (edges) in speech lead speech-brain realignment. Auditory behavioral research suggests phonological deficits dyslexia are linked difficulty...

The neuroscience of music has recently attracted significant attention, but the effect style on activation auditory–motor regions not been explored. aim present study is to analyze differences in brain activity during passive listening non-vocal excerpts four different genres (classical, reggaeton, electronic and folk). A functional magnetic resonance imaging (fMRI) experiment was performed. Tw...

Humans have the ability to pay attention one of sound sources in a multispeaker acoustic environment. Auditory detection (AAD) seeks detect attended speaker from one’s brain signals that will enable many innovative human–machine systems. However, effective representation learning electroencephalography (EEG) remains challenge. In this article, we propose neural mechanism dynamically assigns dif...
