We study HKT structures on nilpotent Lie groups and on associated nilmanifolds. We exhibit three weak HKT structures on R which are homogeneous with respect to extensions of Heisenberg type Lie groups. Let $F$ be a left invariant Randers metric on simply connected nilpotent Lie group $N$, induced by Riemannian ${\hat{\textbf{\textit{a}}}}$ and vector field $X$ which is $I_{\hat{\textbf{\textit{a}}}}(M)$-invariant. The aim of this article is to study the existence invariant SKT structures on nilmanifolds. More precisely, we give a negative answer question whether there exist k-step ( $$k>2$$ ) complex nilmanifold admitting an metric. We also provide construction which serves as tool generate examples 2-step nilmanifolds in arbitrary dimensions.
