For tri-diagonal matrices arising in the simplified Jaynes– Cummings model, we give an asymptotics of the eigenvalues, prove a trace formula and show that the Spectral Riemann Surface is irreducible.

A solution of the N ion Jaynes-Cummings model which improves the standard rotating wave approximation solution is proposed. In particular, its validity for any intensity of the external field is shown.
