In this paper, the connection between Menger probabilistic norms and H"{o}hle probabilistic norms is discussed. In addition, the correspondence between probabilistic norms and Wu-Fang fuzzy (semi-) norms is established. It is shown that a probabilistic norm (with triangular norm $min$) can generate a Wu-Fang fuzzy semi-norm and conversely, a Wu-Fang fuzzy norm can generate a probabilistic norm.
We characterize T-measures on weakly generated tribes, where T is a strict triangular norm and we give a Liapunoff Theorem for these measures. This generalizes previous results obtained for monotonic T-measures or for Frank triangular norms.
The paper deals with binary operations in the unit interval. We investigate connections between families of triangular norms, triangular conorms, uninorms and some decreasing functions. It is well known, that every uninorm is build by using some triangular norm and some triangular conorm. If we assume, that uninorm fulfils additional assumptions, then this triangular norm and this triangular co...
In this paper we summarize our results obtained recently on continuous triangular norms that are migrative with respect to an arbitrary continuous triangular norm. We start with the original notion of migrativity and completely describe all continuous migrative triangular norms. Since the migrative property excludes both idempotent and nilpotent t-norm classes, the characterization and construc...
This paper is the continuation of [11] where the rotation construction of left-continuous triangular norms was presented. Here the class of triangular subnorms and a second construction, called rotation-annihilation, are introduced: Let T1 be a left-continuous triangular norm. If T1 has no zero divisors then let T2 be a left-continuous rotation invariant t-subnorm. If T1 has zero divisors then ...
The classical time-invariant Hankel-norm approximation problem is generalized to the time-varying context. The input-output operator of a time-varying bounded causal linear system acting in discrete time may be specified as a bounded upper-triangular operator T with block matrix entries Tij. For such an operator T, we will define the Hankel norm as a generalization of the time-invariant Hankel ...
Abstract. This paper studies the problem of the computation of common infinity-norm Lyapunov functions. For a set of continuous-time LTI systems or discrete-time LTI systems whose system matrices are upper triangular form or lower triangular form, it is proved that there exist common infinity-norm Lyapunov functions for them. Then four algorithms of computing common infinity-norm Lyapunov funct...
We analyze an immersed interface finite element method based on linear polynomials on noninterface triangular elements and piecewise linear polynomials on interface triangular elements. The flux jump condition is weakly enforced on the smooth interface. Optimal error estimates are derived in the broken H1-norm and L2-norm.
Consumer decision making processes are conditioned by various forces. Recognized premises are being constantly reevaluated and future decisions are made in connection with previous ones. Therefore, authors propose an approach to decision making modeling based on pairs of vectors describing attitudes towards certain attributes influencing consumer’s decision. As a result, possible is a descripti...
