This paper focuses the study on the L − L estimates on the solutions to an asymmetric wave equation with dissipation which arises in the study for the magneto-hydrodynamics by using the method of Green function.

In this paper, two types of traveling wave solutions to the osmosis K(2, 2) equation ut + (u 2)x − (u2)xxx = 0 are investigated. They are characterized by two parameters. The expresssions for the soliton and periodic wave solutions are obtained.
