mulla sadra and leibniz, the two philosophers from the east and the west, belong to two different worlds. though they were unaware of the ideas of each other, their philosophical systems share certain common points that are comparable. monads constitute the basis of leibniz's thought and he refers to their features in his various works. on the other side, mulla sadra's philosophy is also based ...
We develop a typed equational system that subsumes both iteration theories and typed Kleene algebra in a common framework. Our approach is based on cartesian categories endowed with commutative strong monads to handle nondeterminism. 1998 ACM Subject Classification F.3.1 Specifying and Verifying and Reasoning about Programs
In this paper we unify the developments of [Batanin, 1998], [BataninWeber, 2011] and [Cheng, 2011] into a single framework in which the interplay between multitensors on a category V , and monads on the category GV of graphs enriched in V , is taken as fundamental. The material presented here is the conceptual background for subsequent work: in [Batanin-Cisinski-Weber, 2013] the Gray tensor pro...
We show how non-symmetric operads (or multicategories), symmetric operads, and clones, arise from three suitable monads on Cat, each extending to a (pseudo-)monad on the bicategory of categories and profunctors. We also explain how other previous categorical analyses of operads (via Day’s tensor products, or via analytical functors) fit with the profunctor approach.
We introduce the notion of a distributive law between relative monad and monad. call this define it in any 2-category $\mathcal{K}$. In order to do that, we monads $\mathcal{K}$ with morphisms transformations as 1- 2-cells, respectively. relate our definition defined by Street. Thanks view prove two Beck-type theorems regarding laws. also describe what does mean have Eilenberg-Moore Kleisli obj...
We introduce a general construction on 2-monads. develop background maps of 2-monads, their left semi-algebras, and colimits in 2-category. Then, we the colimit induced by map show that obtain structure 2-monad give characterisation its algebras. Finally, apply to 2-monads between free symmetric monoidal cartesian combine them into linear-non-linear 2-monad.
this study purported to compare and contrast the use of self-mention and evidentials as two mtadiscourse features in opinion columns of persian and english newspapers. the theoretical basis of this study is the idea that metadiscourse features vary across cultural boundaries. for this purpose, 150 persian and 150 english opinion columns were collected based on three factors of topic, audience a...
abstract pragmatics is the study of communicative action in its sociocultural context. communicative action includes not only using speech acts (such as apologizing, complaining, complimenting, and requesting), but also engaging in different types of discourse and participating in speech events of varying length and complexity. the present study aimed to investigate the assessment of pragm...
writing an academic article requires the researchers to provide support for their works by learning how to cite the works of others. various studies regarding the analysis of citation in m.a theses have been done, while little work has been done on comparison of citations among elt scopus journal articles, and so the dearth of research in this area demands for further investigation into citatio...
Every finitary monad T on the category of sets is described by an algebraic theory whose n-ary operations are the elements of the free algebra Tn generated by n letters. This canonical presentation of the monad (called its Lawvere theory) offers a precious guideline in the search for an intuitive presentation of the monad by generators and relations. Hence, much work has been devoted to extend ...
