本研究では，理科を専門とする小学校教員1名を対象にし，対象者のもつアセスメント・リテラシーの具体を個性記述的に分析して示した。また，その対象者がアセスメント・リテラシーを自覚的に用いて授業を計画・実践した事例を示した。方法として，AbellとSiegelの提案するアセスメント・リテラシーの理論的枠組みとモデルを援用した。この枠組みとモデルは，評価の目的，対象，方略，解釈・行動に関わる四つの知識で構成されている。半構造化面接によって，対象者のもつアセスメント・リテラシーの具体を分析し，その具体を枠組みにして，小学校第6学年「水溶液の性質」の授業を計画・実践した。結果として，教師が自身のもつアセスメント・リテラシーを自覚的に用いた授業事例を示すことができた。日本の理科教師のアセスメント・リテラシーの分析に，AbellとSiegelの提案する枠組みとモデルは援用可能であった。
